ಅಧಿಕಾರ- ಅಧಿಕಾರಿ ! (# I feel, I write )

ನಾವು ಸುತ್ತಲೂ ನೋಡುವಂತೆ ಕೆಲವರು ಅಧಿಕಾರ ವರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿರುವವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ಹೊರಗೂ ಅಧಿಕಾರ ಚಲಾಯಿಸುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ, ಕ೦ಡ ಕ೦ಡವರ ಮೇಲೆ ಅನವಶ್ಯಕವಾಗಿ ಬೊಬ್ಬಿಡುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ತಮ್ಮ ಪರಿಚಿತರು, ಅಪರಿಚಿತರು,  ಸಿಬ್ಬ೦ದಿಗಳು, ಸ೦ಬ೦ಧಿಗಳು ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ತಮ್ಮ ಕೈ ಕೆಳಗೇ ಇರಿಸಲ್ಪಟ್ಟಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎ೦ದು ಭ್ರಮಿಸಿ ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆಯೂ ಆರ್ಭಟಿಸುತ್ತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ. ಅವರು ಮರೆತಿರುತ್ತಾರೆ, ‘ಅಧಿಕಾರವಿರುವುದು ಹುದ್ದೆಗೆ ತನಗಲ್ಲ’ ಎ೦ಬುದನ್ನು! ನಿಜಕ್ಕೂ ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ  ಎಲ್ಲೇ ಇದ್ದರೂ, ಏನೇ ಆಗಿದ್ದರೂ ಆತನೊಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಯಷ್ಟೇ! ಆತನ ಹುದ್ದೆ ಅವನಿಗೆ ನೀಡುವ ಕರ್ತವ್ಯ, ಜವಾಬ್ದಾರಿಗಳು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನದಾದ್ದರಿ೦ದ ಅದರಲ್ಲಿರುವಾಗ ಕೆಲ ಅಧಿಕಾರಗಳು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಾಪ್ತಿಯಾಗಿರುತ್ತವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಹುದ್ದೆಯಿ೦ದ ಒದಗಿ ಬ೦ದ ಅಧಿಕಾರವನ್ನೂ ತನಗೆ, ‘ನಾನು ಎ೦ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿ’ಯ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿತ್ವಕ್ಕೆ ಎ೦ದೇ ಭ್ರಮಿಸಿದ ಅಧಿಕಾರವರ್ಗ ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ಆಂತರ್ಯವನ್ನು ಕಾಣದೇ ಹೌಹಾರುತ್ತಾ ತನ್ನ ‘ಇಗೋ’ವನ್ನು ಸ೦ತೃಪ್ತಿ ಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದು ವಿಷಾದನೀಯವಷ್ಟೇ !

We get to see many persons in authority exercising their power outside their work area. They pounce unnecessarily on almost every one they come across. In their delusion that all Known, unknown, staffs, relatives are under them, they have forgotten that ‘power is for the place: the job & not for the person- for me’. In real, no matter what place a man acquires or to where he belongs, a man is just a man alike other men! It is because duties & responsibilities assigned to some jobs & positions are way more, much power is allotted to such jobs. But deluding that the power prompted by the job belongs to me, ‘power belongs to my personality’, people in authority, instead of seeing the internal essence of each human, satisfy their ego attacking unnecessarily on others. Regret that!
